
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Track and Field Team captured a top-five finish in Bondurant on Thursday.
ADM scored 115 points, which marked third place behind Dallas Center-Grimes and Des Moines Roosevelt. Individually for the Tigers, freshman Zane Johnson (11.06 seconds) and senior Grant Engleman (11.27 seconds) were first and third in the 100 meter dash, with Johnson also winning the 200 meters with a time of 22.78 seconds. Senior Cameron Forgy was second (51.21) in the 400 meter dash, and senior Torin Timmerman ran 10 minutes and 11 seconds for a third place spot in the 3200 meter run.
In the relays, ADM came out on top in the 4×800 meters (8:38.17), posted second in the 4×200 (1:33.29), second in the 4×110 meter shuttle hurdle relay (59.07), and was third place in the 4×100 meters (45.03). Field events saw senior Kyler Chapman jump six feet and two inches for first place in the high jump and senior Corbin Reed getting seventh in the long jump (19-03.75).
The Tigers will now prepare for the Raccoon River Conference Meet this Wednesday at Gilbert High School at 4pm.
