For the third time in four days the Paton-Churdan track & field teams were in action. After being in Audubon on Tuesday and Guthrie Center on Thursday, the Rockets were in Lake City for the Ross Samuelson Coed Relays on Friday. The P-C boys were tenth among 11 teams with 32 points while the girls were tenth in a 10 team field with 11 points. The host Titans won the team title for boys with 136 points, just ahead of Southeast Valley’s 134 points. Sioux Central (Sioux Central) was the girls’ first place team with 145 points and Manson-Northwest Webster was second with 121 points.

Sophomore Trevon Keely won the high jump at six feet, two inches, and he was third in the long jump at 18 feet, 10 inches.

The Rockets earned second place points in the girls’ 4 x 800 meter relay as one of two teams entered in that event. P-C covered the 3,200 meters in 14:05.95.
