
On Thursday, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs boys track team found success in Bondurant as the Mustangs battled in the Bondurant-Farrar Boys Invite. The Mustangs would place second overall with 119 points. Sophomore Elijah Gaie would have a first place finish in the long jump event, alongside Junior Darien Walker who would also place first 110 meter hurdles. DCG’s 4×100 meter shuttle hurdle relay time would also finish in first.
The Mustangs would also have multiple second place finishes as well, as sophomore Chase Heitland would place second in the 200 meter dash, Wyatt Valenta would place second in Discuss, and junior Harper Gessmann would place second in the 3200 meter run.
This was the final meet for the Mustangs boys track team who are out of action until Thursday when Dallas Center-Grimes hosts the Little Hawkeye Conference Meet. The conference meet is set to begin at 4:30pm on Thursday.
