One bill made its way to the governor’s desk before the end of last week.

Representative for District 23 Ray Sorensen says that a bill based on transparency would require schools to inform parents of vaccine exemptions. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio how this bill came to be.

“This one, I think, is just our continued push on transparency. There’s a lot of information out about vaccines, especially after coming out of COVID and everything that happened during the pandemic. I think it’s just one of those making sure that schools are communicating all options with parents.”

Sorensen mentions that this is a simple bill, and that no requirements have been changed. He adds that this helps parents make informed decisions, and keeps the information from being hidden.
