Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Golf Head Coach Dana Brown discusses how her seniors have provided a path to lead the rest of the team.
Brown tells Raccoon Valley Radio that it’s getting to the point of the season where everyone will need to work together, or as she calls it “teamwork time.” She believes that the team is starting to gel at the right time, and an aspect that she enjoys about the squad is that each player is always encouraging others whether they have a great day or not. Brown mentions that she’s moved the roster around during the season, with several freshmen that have been on the varsity lineup, and that all the girls are really supportive.
“That never changes the vibes. It’s seniors saying ‘hey, so and so is playing great.’ They’re recognizing that younger girls are having success. I feel like scores aside, it feels good. The team feels great and I’m excited to see how we can put it all together in these last couple of weeks.”
ADM recently competed in the Carroll and Bondurant-Farrar Triangular yesterday and are playing in the Atlantic Invitational today, starting at 10am.
