GCDC Executive Director Ken Paxton

Greene County Development Corporation has announced that its executive director is leaving his position soon.

GCDC Board President Scott Weber says Ken Paxton is stepping down as the executive director on May 30th, and he thanks Paxton for his 15 years of service to the organization. In a statement from GCDC, with the leadership change the group has decided to pause its work on Vision 2030, but facilitator Michelle Book will continue to have community meetings to develop a plan for projects to work towards for the future. GCDC will take this time to figure out its role and structure.

According to GCDC, since it was established as an entity, its mission has been to “cooperate in the active development and implementation of programs and activities to expand and diversify the economy of Greene County, through the attraction, retention, and expansion of businesses.”
