A local Greene County company has announced its partnership with another area business owner.
The owner of the former John 15 Vineyard, near Scranton, Travis Hardin has teamed up with Abby McConnell Legacy Events to unveil The Era Wedding and Events Venue. Hardin says when he wanted to bring his vision of having a wedding and events space to life, he chose McConnell with her experience with Legacy Events to manage The Era and to coordinate weddings and other events on the over 20-acre property.
McConnell tells Raccoon Valley Radio that even though she is the Venue Manager and Wedding Coordinator at The Era, she will continue to own and operate Legacy Events, as the business will continue to be along East Lincolnway, near the downtown square in Jefferson. She details that she grew up with Travis Hardin in Greene County, and Legacy Events has done lots of events for their family over the years.
McConnell points out that even as a little kid, she wanted to be immersed with weddings, and part of that dream was to own a wedding venue. She explains that while Legacy Events was not actively searching for a venue, but when the opportunity was presented by Hardin, she thought it was the perfect way to expand her business.
The Era Wedding and Events Venue is hosting a grand opening on June 6th from 5:30-8:30pm and McConnell adds that they are booking weddings for this fall by contacting them at info@theeraiowa.com or by going to their website at https://theeraiowa.com/
