Main Street Guthrie Center will be hosting one of their annual events Friday.
Director Lindsay Gilland says that they will be holding Celebrate Guthrie Center, a community event for businesses and residents to come together. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio why they decided to start the event.
“Celebrate Guthrie Center is a really great night to get the community together. We all are very busy and so it’s difficult to be able to make it to every single organization or group or activity or event that is describing and letting people know, giving updates on what their organization has been up to. So Celebrate Guthrie Center brings all of those organizations together in one night to give the whole town an update on what their organization has been up to, what are some goals that they hope to fulfill in the year 2025. And it’s just a really great night.”
Gilland mentions that Celebrate Guthrie Center will begin with a social hour at 5:30pm on Friday night, followed by dinner at 6pm. Reservations are required, as dinner will be catered by Cafe on the Hill, and can be made at Guthrie County State Bank, People’s Bank and Panora Fiber in Guthrie Center, with tickets at $25.
