Trevon Keely

The Rolling Valley Activities Conference track & field meet was held at Boyer Valley High School in Dunlap on Tuesday with sunshine, warm temperatures, and little wind. Sophomore Trevon Keely won the conference title in the high jump and long jump for the Rockets, and placed second in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes. He jumped a career best 21 feet even in the long jump, cleared the high jump bar at six feet, four inches, ran 11.95 seconds in the 100 meter dash and 22.86 seconds for 200 meters.

The top finish for the P-C girls came from sophomore discus thrower Alyva Smith at 92 feet, three inches.

P-C scored 49 boys’ points and placed sixth among eight teams. Keely scored 36 of the Rockets’ points. The girls had 11 points, good for a seventh place finish. Winning Rolling Valley team titles were the Woodbine boys and girls. Woodbine had 208 boys’ points with Boyer Valley at 90, CAM (Anita) 67, Coon Rapids-Bayard 69, Ar-We-Va (Westside) 54, P-C 49, Glidden-Ralston 32, and 17 points from Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton. The Woodbine girls scored 160 points with CAM at 136, BV 103, CR-B 102, Ar-We-Va 42, G-R 23, and 11 for P-C.
