Perry girl’s golf competed in the Heart of Iowa Conference meet on Wednesday.  The Jayettes earned sixth place out of the nine schools after the 18 hole round tournament at Lincoln Valley Golf in State Center.

Roland-Story claimed first place with a team score of 356.  Nevada was second 15 strokes back.  The host, West Marshall, shot a 385 which was good enough for third.  Both squads out of Des Moines, Saydel and Grand View Christian, did not place after not filling a full lineup.

The Jayettes shot a combined 470.  Perry was led by Karagyn Whelchel, who shot a 103.  Christina Kanealy and Kalley Whelchel each shot a 119 for the next best Jayette score.

The girls return to action next Thursday, May 15 for their only home meet at the Perry Golf and Country Club.
