Last night, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs track teams played host to the Little Hawkeye Conference for the Little Hawkeye Conference Meet. The Mustang girls found success, claiming 3rd place as a team with a score of 93.5 points. The Mustang boys would battle and end the night in 5th place with a score of 83 points.
For the girls, Maddy Stevens would place first in the 800 meter relay with Addison Dooley behind her in second. Stevens would then place 2nd in the 1500 meter relay just behind Piper Messerly in first and would also place first in the 3000 meter run.
For the boys, Elias Arbuckle would place second in the 3200 meter run, and third in the 1600 meter run. Darien Walker would find success as well, placing second in the 110 meter hurdles.
The Mustang girls look to carry this momentum into tonight’s action as the Panthers travel to Newton to H.A. Lynn Stadium for the Cardinal Relays. The action is set to begin at 4:30pm.
