A development area in Guthrie Center is making good progress.

City Clerk Kris Arrasmith shares that the Cameron Flats development owned by Guthrie Center Municipal Utilities. She mentions that the development area was started after much discussion about the need for living spaces for individuals who may be looking to downsize, or for those who wanted/needed homes that were one level or “zero entry.” Arrasmith says that construction began in late 2024, and that they’re hoping for the project to be completed by early June, with one unit already sold.
