The Greene County high school girls’ golf team finished its busiest stretch of the season yesterday when they played in Jewell vs. four other teams in the South Hamilton nine hole tournament. Coach Heath Telleen’s Rams finished in fourth place among five teams with 458 strokes. Roland-Story (Story City) won the event at 343, followed by Eagle Grove 385, West Marshall (State Center) 390, the Rams, and then the host Hawks at 498.

Brinley Carlson of R-S was meet medalist with a two over par 74 for the 18 holes. Carlson has relatives in Jefferson and around the area. The Rams were led by junior Maya Telleen at 109, followed by juniors Calleigh Fitzpatrick with a 113,  Alivia Cornell at 115, and Lila Osterson at 118.
