
Last night, both Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs soccer team were on the road as the Mustang girls traveled to Bondurant-Farrar to face off against the Bluejays while the Mustang boys traveled to Waukee Northwest High School for battle against the Wolves.
The Mustang girls would take the lead in the first half and wouldn’t look back, scoring three goals in the first during the shut out victory against the Bluejays. DCG would keep their momentum in the second, scoring four more goals to claim a 7-0 victory for the Mustangs.
In the boys contest, both teams would score in the first half to bring the score to 1-1 at the end of the first half. Colin Mandernach would find Zach Bruck who would score the only goal for the Mustangs. Both defenses would shine in the second half, resulting in a 1-1 draw for the Mustangs.
The Mustang boys are out of action until Tuesday while the girls prepare for battle on Monday as DCG plays host to the #9 ranked ADM Tigers. Kick off is set to 7:30pm on Monday.
