May 9th

Logan Klein, Des Moines, was traveling in the 14000 block of S Ave when he lost control on gravel and went into a ditch, rolling the vehicle.  He declined EMS and damage was estimated at $10000.  Mr. Klein was cited for No Valid Driver’s License.  The vehicle will be removed by the owner.

Eric Vortes, age 43, 6516 Chaffee Road, Des Moines, was arrested on two counts of Contempt-Violation Of No Contact Order.

May 10th

Abigail Johnston, Indianola, was driving in the 23000 block of A Ave when she lost control after hitting a bump and rolled the car into the ditch.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $15000.  Damage to a fence that was hit was estimated at $450.

Patricia Merriman, Sioux Falls, SD, was traveling in the 34000 block of L Ave. when she missed a turn.  In an attempt to turn the mobile home around, she backed into a ditch and was unable to get it out without assistance from a towing company.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $5000.

Nyakuoth Lam, age 49, 7800 Iltis Drive, Urbandale, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.

Peyton Wilcox-Thomas, age 24, 1603 Maple St, Dallas Center, was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence.

May 11th

Kyler Hatch, age 18, 3443 NW 168th St, Clive, was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence. He was also cited for Fail To Yield To Emergency Vehicle and Speeding
