An athlete from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Soccer Team is continuing to etch her name into the school’s history with an impressive milestone during the last game.
ADM senior Jada Grove set a new single-game scoring record with seven goals in Thursday’s dominant 9-0 victory over Boone. The Tigers led 5-0 at the break, with Grove accounting for three of the goals, then managed to score all four of them in the second half. The two other goals were scored by sophomore Sheyanne Culp and sophomore Amaya Fuller. According to ADM, Grove broke the previous record of six goals in a single game, that was done by Ashlyn Watt.
ADM improves to 7-5-1 on the season (3-1-1 inside the Raccoon River Conference). Tiger boys fell 4-1 to Boone as their record sits at 8-6 (3-3 RRC). The girls play tonight on the road at Dallas Center-Grimes High School at 7:30pm, and the boys will have senior night tomorrow in Adel taking on Ballard.
