Greene County eighth grader Johnathan Thompson of Grand Junction is one of the USA’s top middle school wrestlers and now he’ll get to represent Team USA at U15 Pan American Championships. The event is in Guatamala City, Guatamala May 22-24.

Thompson qualified in both Greco-Roman and Freestyle at 38 kilograms. He’s been wrestling at 88 lbs. in recent competitions. The 10 spots for boys were decided following a verification process by USA Wrestling’s National Teams Department.
