
Last night, the West Central Valley Wildcats soccer teams traveled to Carroll to face off against the Kuemper Catholic Knights. The girls would draw against the Knights in a 1-1 decision, while the boys pick up a 2-0 victory over Kuemper Catholic. In the girls contest, both teams would score in the first half, then shine defensively to keep the score at 1-1 for the remainder of the match.
For the boys, West Central Valley would take the lead in the first half after a beautiful 30 yard shot from Aiden Brandon to take a 1-0 lead. With only 9 minutes left to go in the first, Trajan Rummel would score to give the Wildcats the 2-0 victory over Kuemper Catholic.
The Wildcat girls fall to 8-4-1 while the boys advance to 13-0-1. Both Wildcat teams are back in action at home on Friday as West Central Valley plays host to the Central Iowa United Trojans. The girls take the pitch first with kick off set for 5:30 with the boys to follow at 7.
