The Perry School Board met in regular session on Monday.

According to Superintendent Clark Wicks, the board accepted an agreement with Des Moines Area Community College to offer 10 in-person courses in the fall semester of 2025 and 11 in the spring semester of 2026 for Perry High School students. 

Wick describes that other items on the agenda that the board approved included a resolution to transfer funds from the general fund to the flexibility account, a resolution to hire Hazel Health on as a mental health online provider, a transfer of $12,200.75 from the general fund to the student activity fund for protective and safety equipment for the 2024-25 school year, and the instructional and activity fee schedule for the 2025-26 school year. Finally, the board approved a middle school Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates (iJAG) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for $25,000 and a high school iJAG MOU for $50,000 for the next school year.
