May 14th

Dwight McNeal, Centerville, was traveling East on Hwy 44 at W Ave.  He attempted to make a left turn onto W Ave, when he collided with a car driven by Jennifer Hall, Grimes.  Austin Meiners, Polk City, was traveling behind Ms. Hall and struck Ms. Hall’s car during the course of the accident.  No injuries were reported and damage to the vehicles was as followed: Mr. McNeal – $2000, Ms. Hall – $20000, Mr. Meiners – $15000.  Ms. Hall’s vehicle was towed from the scene, as well as Mr. Meiners vehicle.   The other vehicle was driven from the scene.

May 15th

Alexis Krenz, Omaha, NE, was traveling on I80 near the 114 mile marker, when she tried to avoid a collision with a deer.  Her car came to rest in the median.  She was taken to the hospital for evaluation of any injuries.  Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10000.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

David Stitt II, age 53, 2024 Hickman Road, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Violated Probation Terms.

Tyler Kirby, age 43, 1915 9th St, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Violated Probation Terms.

Michael Schmidt, age 44, 317 Trowbridge St, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Fraudulent Practice – 1st Degree.

Eric Vortes, age 43, 950 67th St, West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Violated Probation Terms.

Marco Lopez, age 26, 1800 Grand Ave, West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Operating While Under The Influence.

Tirzah Klein, age 28, 395 4th St, Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Falsely Claiming Emergency.

Ezra Coulter, age 19, 115 S. 15th St, Adel, was arrested on a warrant for Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Trespass and Reckless use Of Fire/Explosive/Destructive Devices.

Leola Pierce, age 19, 115 south 15th St, Adel, was arrested on a warrant for Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Trespass and Reckless use Of Fire/Explosive/Destructive Devices.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
