The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday morning.
The Board tabled a decision on allocating money from the Guthrie County Opioid Settlement Fund to New Opportunities after hearing from Behavioral Health Director Christy Jenkins. She shared about some programs they were restarting and that they could use some help with start-up funds. The Board also heard a department update from Guthrie County Health Services Director Jotham Arber. He talked about the work being done by the Public and Environmental Health Departments, including inspecting wells and how well the mental health team has been doing with patients.
The Board then set a public hearing for a fiscal year 2025 budget amendment for May 27th at 9:30am, then entered a 2025 Strategy and Project Planning discussion. During the discussion, they outlined 17 items to work on, and discussed the importance of each and what order they should be worked on. The meeting ended in a closed session, and no action was taken following that session.
