A Nebraska man was recently arrested for an April 2016 incident that happened in Jefferson.

According to court documents on April 10, 2016, following a verbal argument outside of a business in Jefferson, two individuals were allegedly seen punching and kicking a victim’s vehicle, which caused $2,963 of damages. Court documents show that a photo of Wilson from a surveillance camera was posted to the Jefferson Police Department Facebook page and the investigating officer received a call from another business owner in Jefferson who indicated that there was an issue with the same individual, and that the individual left their debt card.

The criminal complaint states that the card only had the last name of Wilson on it and that the card was from a bank in Aurora, Nebraska. The officer also received a call from another police officer from Aurora that identified the individual from the Jefferson Police Facebook post as Trey Wilson. Court documents show that when the Aurora Police Officer questioned Wilson, he admitted that he struck the victim’s vehicle in Jefferson.

An arrest warrant was issued on April 20, 2016 charging Wilson was a Class D Felony for second degree criminal mischief. He was arrested on April 25, 2025 in Hamilton County, Nebraska. Wilson was booked and released from the Greene County Jail after posting a $5,000 cash or surety bond. His initial appearance is scheduled for tomorrow in Greene Court District Court.
