One gold, two silvers, and a bronze propel Perry athletes to Drake Stadium for State Meet.  The Jayettes will be competing in three events in the annual championships while the Bluejays will be in just one.

Thursday evening was a successful one for Coach Matthew Hardy, who saw his girls qualify in three events at the Winterset Coed meet.  Treasure Moore will be making her induvial debut at the Blue Oval.  The junior finished third in the 200M and qualified as a wildcard.  Lily Myers took second in the 400M Hurdles as the sophomore will compete in two events this year at State.  Joining Moore and Myers in Des Moines will be Taryn Nehring and Cate Erickson for the Distance Medley Relay.  The quad will compete at the championships in back to back years.  The Jayette relay finished 23rd in the event in 2024.

The Bluejays will be sending just one competitor to Drake Stadium, but Owen Myers is no stranger to the bright lights.  The senior will be making his third straight appearance in the 400M Hurdles.  Myers is coming off a first place finish in Winterset and will look to best 19th place finish from last year.

Perry will compete in just one Thursday event and that will be Treasure Moore at 10:40A in the 200M Prelims.  Friday will see the rest of the Perry athletes in action.  The Morning starts at 9A for the Distance Medley.  Lily and Owen will then each run the 400M Hurdles at noon and 12:20P respectively.
