An early morning rural Perry house fire ended in a total loss of the building.

Perry Fire Chief Grason Hill says that a report of a fire at the home of Jon Jamison at 12360 K Drive came in about 4:15am Sunday morning. He shares that when his department arrived on scene, the entire front of the home was engulfed in flames. Hill mentions that due to the fire taking place in a rural area, they only had the water in their trucks to work with, and with the advanced stage of the fire, the home became a total loss. He adds that at this time, they are still investigating what caused the fire and where it started, though he says that Jamison had mentioned that the fire started on the porch and near the southeast corner of the home.

Hill tells Raccoon Valley Radio that at this time, they are still on site keeping hot spots from flaring up. Fire departments from Bouton, Minburn and Woodward assisted with fighting the blaze. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring more information as it becomes official.
