May 17th

Lawrence March, age 59, 3510 E. 8th, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Violation Of Probation terms.

Richard Hannah Jr, age 38, 770 SE Bobwhite Lan, Waukee, was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence.  He was also cited for Speeding and Dark Window Or Windshield.

Lily Belt, age 22, 401 Walnut, Walnut, Iowa,  was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence.

Ellen Webb, West Des Moines, was stopped at a stop light on the exit ramp of I80 at Highway 169, when her vehicle was struck by one driven by Cielo Castillo Colon, Des Moines.  The Passenger in Ms. Webb’s car was transported to a family doctor by private vehicle to be checked out.  No other injuries were reported.  Damage to Ms. Webb’s car was estimated at $3000.

May 18th

Austin Rowe, age 27, was arrested for Possession Of Controlled Substance and Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia.  He was also cited for No Valid Drivers License.

Jonathon McClure, Dallas Center, was driving on 270th at the bike trail crossing, when his vehicle was struck by a bicycle ridden by Joseph Hrdlicka, West Des Moines. Mr. Hrdlicka was transported to the hospital for evaluation of any injuries.  Damage to Mr. McClure’s vehicle was estimated at $2000.

A juvenile driver exited the off ramp at I80 and El Dorando Ave, lost control and went into the ditch, causing the vehicle to roll.  The minor driver was able to get the vehicle back on the road and left the scene.  It was later discovered, with the minor driver, in Redfield.  No Injuries were reported and the vehicle sustained an estimated $1800 damage.  It was towed privately from the scene.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
