Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Head Coach Rachel Harada discusses how she’s adapted over the course of her first coaching position.

Harada was brought on to be the leader of the 2025 Tigers Girls team after former Coach Jeff Abbas had a great four-year run. She attended ADM, graduating in 2011 and was a crucial part of the soccer team that won six consecutive Raccoon River Conference titles with Adel. The Tigers have concluded the season at 9-6-1 (5-1-1 RRC) and are gearing up for regional play next week. Harada outlines that it’s been an adjustment, but believes the team is finding their stride.

“There’s been a lot of learning that’s happened and a lot of growing, not only for me, but also for the players. And I think that we are finally hitting our stride and playing our best soccer, which is exactly where we want to be and should be at the end of the season.”

ADM will participate in the Class 2A Region 8 bracket next Wednesday, May 28th either facing Carroll or Atlantic in Adel.
