The AC/GC Chargers are in action at home tonight against the Exira-EHK Spartans, as the baseball season gets underway.

The two teams face each other for the first time since this day one year ago, where the Spartans won the game 7-6. The Chargers won the previous five games, and will be looking to get this season started in the win column. The Chargers return their hits leader from last year, with Noah Kading now taking the field as a senior. He also led in runs batted in, single base hits, sacrifice fly balls, reaches on error and total bases.

Tommy Skram returns with the most runs from last year’s team, while also having the most double base hits. Ben Franzeen is one of two returners who hit a homerun last season, and was also the player on the team hit by pitch the most. Colton Clark is the other player returning who hit a homerun last season. The first pitch is set for 5pm.
