Opening Day is today for Perry Baseball.  The Bluejays welcome the Mustangs from Prairie City-Monroe to the Perry Athletic Complex.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 and you can hear the game on KDLS.

The 2025 campaign will commence with a conference match up for Perry.  The Bluejays swept the two game series last year taking both games 4-3.  Despite Perry winning both matchups, PCM finished one spot higher in the Heart of Iowa in third.  Owen Myers struck out 13 Mustangs across both starts against Prairie City-Monroe.  Geren Kenney had three hits and three RBI’s against PCM pitching in 2024.

The Perry ace, Owen Myers, will get the start tonight on the rubber.

“I’m just looking forward to getting back after it.  Baseball is my favorite sport so I’m just ready to get started with that again.”
