The Perry City Council met in regular session on Monday.

A public hearing was held on the City of Perry’s intent to dispose of property at 1110 2nd Street for redevelopment. The board then accepted a resolution to approve a purchase agreement for the sale of the city owned property and a development agreement with 369SKY, LLC for a total amount of $10,000 and gives Mayor Dirk Cavanaugh or City Administrator Sven Peterson to execute all documents necessary to sell and transfer the title. 

Other items on the agenda that were approved included a contract number for the CDBG Upper Story Housing Conversion Grant for a property at 1306 2nd Street belonging to the Nudgers Kerns Managers, LLC, a change order for the Frog Creek Restoration project to have a decrease value of $71,887.72, a resolution for a statement of completion and final acceptance for the Frog Creek Restoration project for $509,124.72, and a final pay request for Frog Creek in the amount of $33,531.24.

Additional approved items on the agenda featured a resolution to accept a plat of survey to establish Parcel 25-44 that incorporates three lots and recently vacated right-of-way into a single parcel owned by VanKirk Storage, LLC, a resolution for the site plan for an employee parking lot by VanKirk Storage LLC between 1st and 2nd Street alongside Progressive Foundry, a resolution for a $10,000 loan to be made from the City’s Urban Renewal Revolving Fund to the Perry Alano Club to complete a multiphase remodel project for fire protection and electrical safety, and a resolution to set a public hearing for the fiscal year 2025 budget on June 2nd at 6pm in the Clarion Room of the Security Bank Building in Perry.
