2022 Greene County High School graduate Bryce Stalder from Jefferson and his Grand View University (Des Moines) baseball teammates will be traveling to Lewiston, Idaho to play in the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) College World Series. Stalder is an infielder batting .301 for the Vikings and he had two hits in the deciding game late last week in Indiana over Kansas Wesleyan that sent Grand View to The Show!

The Vikings were seeded fourth in the WS qualifier among four teams and after dropping their first came they came all the way back in the double elimination tournament to win, and advance to the World Series.

Up first is 54-0 Louisiana Shreveport at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 23. Stalder is the son of Kyle and Cheri Stalder of Jefferson. Bryce is the Greene County Rams assistant baseball coach and Kyle is the head coach. The Rams are due to open the 2025 season in Jefferson on May 28 vs. PCM (Monroe).
