An organization in the Perry community was given a monetary donation on Monday to assist with an expansion project.
The 100+ People for Perry met for their second quarter at Hotel Pattee, where they awarded the Perry Child Development Center with a $6,500 donation to help with the Infant Care Expansion Project. According to Associate Director Sharisse Hernandez, the money will go towards acquiring more changing tables, cribs, and strollers. She highlights that the organization is extremely grateful for the donation.
“We’re really appreciative of the 100+ People (of Perry) donation. It will allow us to expand our infant room even more, then that will allow us to take another eight babies from three months all the way to 12 months.”
During the first quarter meeting in February, 100+ People for Perry gave $6,200 to the Raccoon River Pet Rescue Cat Population Control project. Anyone interested in joining 100+ People for Perry can contact Co-Organizers Tom Lipovac by emailing tom.lipovac@gmail.com or Linda Kaufman at kaufmanlinda1948@gmail.com. The next meeting will be on Monday, August 25th.
