This Saturday there will be several cyclists on the roadways in central and eastern Greene County.

The 5th Annual Bike Ride Around Greene County (BRAG) is taking place from 10am-4pm on Saturday. Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich says the close to 37 mile loop begins at Thomas Jefferson Gardens, goes to Spring Lake, then onto 209 Main in Paton, next is south to Dana, followed by a stop at the 30 Yard Line in Grand Junction, and finishing at The Courtyard Wedding and Events Center. Wetrich points out that starting around 4:30pm at The Courtyard is an after party, with a new addition.

“Well this is one of my contributions, calling trivia ‘BRAGging Rights’ or the “Bragging Rights Trivia Competition.’ So everybody loves a good trivia outing. Yeah, that’ll be lots of fun. And anybody can come to that too, you don’t have to be on the ride. But if you want to show up to The Courtyard and be a part of the BRAGging Rights Trivia opportunity, then do that.”

Wetrich explains that people who are participating in BRAG get in for free for the trivia contest and those who are not biking must purchase a ticket for $40 for a team of four. The fee to enter BRAG is $35. Check-ins start at 9:30am on Saturday. Registrations for both can be found here.
