Greene County High School qualified 10 events (five for girls and five for boys) at the 2025 Iowa High School Coed State Track & Field Championships at Drake Stadium in Des Moines. Greene County competes in Class 2A and five of the Rams’ events are today, day one of the three day event. Class 2A and 3A schools begin at 9 a.m. and go into early afternoon while 1A and 4A programs start at 2 p.m. and go until 8 o’clock or later.
Senior Daniele Madsen throws the shot put and junior Broc Stream long jumps this morning, and senior Kamden Kinne is in the boys’ shot put around noon. On the track, junior Becca Anderson runs the preliminaries of the girls’ 200 meter dash this morning and the boys’ distance medley relay runs late this morning with seniors Nick Stream, Crew Conner, Noah Hinote, and junior Drew Wolterman.
Paton-Churdan sophomore Trevon Keely qualified for State in three events in Class 1A. He’ll be long jumping this afternoon as well as running the preliminary of the 200 meter dash. Keely will high jump on Friday.
