On Wednesday the Dallas Center-Grimes baseball team traveled to Urbandale High School for double header action to kick of the 2025 baseball season. The Mustangs would split the series with the J-Hawks, winning 6-4 in the first game then falling 5-4 in the second.

Tate Perrin would pitch twice as the senior would take the mound in the final two innings of both match ups. Tatin Gray would have a great outing, hitting a solo homerun in the top of the seventh to tie the second game 4-4. Lincoln Harris would pitch through five innings for the Mustangs, pitching for three scoreless innings in the second game.

The Mustang baseball team returns to action today and travel to Ankeny Centennial High School to face off against the Jaguars. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
