The Panora Chamber of Commerce has opened nominations for Citizen of the Year.

The Chamber shares that this is a recognition of a member of the Panora and Lake Panorama Community that has been going on since 1989, with the exception of 2020. Nomination criteria includes; any service performed for the betterment of the community, no restrictions on the number of persons nominated, winners cannot be considered again for 10 years, nominees must be a citizen of Panora or Lake Panorama, and must be nominated in writing, with the signature of the nominator.

The Chamber mentions that paid city employees are eligible for the award, but their nomination cannot be for their regular duties. Nominations need to be received by Friday, July 11th, and the 2025 Citizen of the Year will be announced during Panorama Days on August 2nd, just after the parade.
