The three counties within the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area continue to lessen drought conditions with the recent rainfall from this last week.

The U.S. Drought Monitor shows that all of Greene and Dallas counties are completely out of drought, while the western portion of Guthrie County is abnormally dry. According to the National Weather Service from May 18th through the 22nd, the city of Jefferson has received 0.94 inches of rain, while the city of Perry got 1.33 inches of precipitation, and the city of Guthrie Center garnered 0.85 inches of rain over that five-day stretch.
