
The AC/GC Chargers were in action yesterday at the 2025 Iowa State High School Track meet.
The girls distance medley relay team of Nora Langgaard, Meranda Gruber, Cadence Petersen and Ava Campbell placed 5th in the event, bringing home yet another medal for the Chargers. Brexton Schneider and Tate Fever competed in the preliminary round of the boys 110 meter high hurdles, taking 9th and 12th places respectively, with Schneider finishing in 15.16 seconds and Fever finishing in 15.39 seconds.
The boys 4X200 meter relay team of Joe Crawford, Tommy Skram, Luke Brincks and Dean Vela were just a few seconds short of taking a top scoring spot, finishing 10th with a time of 1:31.7, while Cadence Petersen took 18th in the girls 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.04 seconds, a new personal record. Mike Fuller took 8th place in the discus, with a throw of 153 feet 4 inches, while Tate Fever took 2nd place in the boys 400 meter hurdles with a time of 54.25.
The boys 4X100 meter relay team of Crawford, Schneider, Brincks and Eli Madsen finished 4th with a time of 43.38 in their preliminary round, and will compete in the finals today. The boys 4X400 meter relay team of Brincks, Vela, Fever and Madsen took 4th place in their preliminary round with a time of 3:25.28.
