The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Track and Field Teams competed in the Iowa High School State Meet at Drake Stadium in Des Moines from Thursday to Saturday, as the girls came away with back to back titles for Class 3A.

ADM Girls scored 67 team points to beat out both Mount Vernon and Gilbert for first place, as the boys tallied 29.4 points, finishing in 10th. For the girls, the Tigers not only won the 4×100 shuttle hurdle relay, but set a new state record with 1:01.15, as the team featured Haley Nelson, Bella Smyth, Elise Coghlan, and Josi Dufoe. ADM’s other relays that placed well were the 4×100 that marked second and the 4×200 that was third.

Individually, Dufoe (14.50 seconds) and Coghlan (14.55) finished first and second in the 100 meter hurdles, as Coghlan was also fourth in the 400 meter hurdles at 1:04.22. Senior London Warmuth went a height of five feet and seven inches for second place in the high jump, senior Calli Seehase (17-05.25) was fifth in the long jump, junior Lauren Hagedorn (125-00) finished sixth in the discus throw and senior Kennedy Stanford (38-09.75) garnered sixth in the shot put.

On the boys side, the 4×100 meter relay then the 4×400 meter relay got third, while the 4×200 meter relay captured fourth. Tiger athletes that did well include senior Corbin Reed that ran 14.19 seconds in the 110 meter hurdles for third place and was sixth in the 400 meter hurdles at 53.85 seconds. Sophomore Reid Kluesner and senior Kyler Chapman tied for sixth place with a height of six feet and one inch in the high jump, senior Cameron Forgy (50.53 seconds) was eighth in the 400 meters and senior Torin Timmerman (9:45.97) got ninth in the 3200 meters.

ADM Girls brought home the first championship to the school in 2024, and followed it up with another one this year. The full results can be found here.
