A father and son were recently taken into custody following an alleged domestic incident in Perry on Wednesday.
According to court documents, the Perry Police Department responded to reports of a domestic disturbance around 9:45pm in an apartment along Park Avenue. The criminal complaint shows that during the investigation, one of the victims told officers that the suspect, 24-year-old Justin Harvey of Perry, physically assaulted her on a couch in a residence and again outside on the front lawn. Harvey claimed he was slapped awake by the victim and he physically grabbed the victim’s throat to push her away. The victim had noticeable injuries that corroborated her statements.
Court documents showed that 47-year-old Nicholas Harvey of Grand Junction, had also been involved in a physical altercation which officers believed he caused severe injuries to the victim. Officers noticed visible injuries to the victim that corroborated the victim’s statements. Both victims were taken to Dallas County Hospital for their injuries.
Justin was arrested for Class D Felonies of assault causing serious injury and domestic abuse assault impeding air/blood flow, and Nicholas was also arrested and charged with a Class D Felony of assault causing serious injury. No contact orders have also been put in place with the victims. Justin and Nicholas were booked and are currently being held in the Dallas County Jail on two separate $5,000 cash or surety bonds.
