With the summer on the horizon, the Perry Public Library is ramping up their program for their patrons.

According to Youth Services Librarian Laura Pieper, the theme for the summer reading program is “Leveling Up at the Library” relating to everything from board games to video games. She details that activities start on June 7th with KidsFest and end with a Pop-Up Mini Golf Grand Finale event on July 26th. Pieper outlines that children, teens, and adults can participate in the summer program by reading each day, then completing library activities. Each group qualifies for grand prizes, as she unveils what’s in store for the children.

“The first one is a Toni Box Starter Set. Those are the little boxes that you can put a little toy on, and it will play a story based on that toy. Prize number two is a little round coding robot, it’s called Sphero and it also comes with $50 in Perry Bucks. Prize number three, this is a magnetic cube block set. Prize number four, a family game package, and prize number five is a gift basket for toddlers and babies.”

Pieper explains that registration is currently open and will run all summer long until the finale on July 26th. For more information or to sign up, contact the Perry Library at (515)-465-3569 or click here.
