Perry softball takes the field for the first time tonight as Greene County comes to Perry.

The Jayettes swept the series last year winning 11-1 and 6-4.  The Rams didn’t have a single senior as they return key pieces all a year older.  Perry returns their top two hitters in Karagyn and Kalley Whelchel.  They will however need to replace Maci Tunick in the circle and Christina Kanealy will be tasked with that.  Emma Olejniczak will also need some new faces to step up in other spots after Perry lost six seniors from the roster.

The Jayettes are coming off a fourth place finish in the Heart of Iowa while Greene County finished in last.  Starting off with a conference win could help either team get off to a hot start in 2025.

First pitch is scheduled for 7P and will air on the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network
