Greene County is looking for improvement on the baseball diamond in 2025 and the season starts tonight vs. PCM (Monroe) at Allensworth Field in Jefferson. The varsity portion of the JV/Varsity twin bill will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with first pitch set for 7:30 p.m.

Coach Kyle Stalder begins his third season at the helm of a program that’s seen far more losses than wins over the last decade-plus. The 2024 Rams were 2-20 overall and finished last in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference with one win.

A number of players who are seniors and juniors are back with one, two, and in some cases, three seasons of varsity experience. The Coach is hoping that experience pays off in improved play in all aspects of the game.

PCM went 10-13 last season and swept both meetings with Greene County.
