History was made for the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs boys track team as the Mustangs would end the state championships in 15th place with a team score of 17 points. This is the best finish by a Mustang boys track team since entering Class 4A action.

History would be made by the Mustang boys 1600 medley relay team as the Mustangs would place third crossing the finish line in 3:26.91 for a new school record. Chase Heitland, Ethan Carlson, Hudson Rude and Jack Meggison would reach the podium and bring home a bronze medal back to DCG while making school history.

The state track championship neatly wrap up the 2025 Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs boys track season with a 15th place finish with 17 team points, the best finish to date by a Mustangs boys track team at the State Championships since the Mustangs entered Class 4A action.
