
The West Central Valley School Board met in regular session May 21st.
The Board first approved a 2024-25 budget amendment during a public hearing. Afterwards, they approved the extended day and extra duty contracts for 2025-26, along with non-union negotiated employee contracts, including those for High School Principal Randy Martin, Middle School Principal Drew Stonewall, Dexter Elementary Principal Ethan Calvert and Director of Teaching and Learning Amanda Nims, among many others.
The Board also approved a pay adjustment of $1.50 per hour for paraeducators, the 2025-26 academic calendar, the milk bid from Anderson Erickson for the 25-26 school year. The next items approved include Authentic Intellectual Work renewal, a professional service agreement amendment, the CTE building plan and budget amendment.
The Board then approved using the services of Kids Campus for preschool wrap-around care/before and after school care, along with a new human resources director position, a board policy on student use of electronics and the 2025-26 EMC/safety group renewal.
