Alexandra Hofbauer beat Karina Perez twice in the first nine minutes as DCG tops Perry, 10-0, in the Regional Semifinal in Grimes.

Dallas Center-Grimes won the playoff matchup against Perry in the battle of Dallas County teams in 2A soccer.  The Mustangs celebrated the six seniors on the roster after the first two Senior Nights were canceled for poor weather.  Senior, Landry Glasgow, wasted no time giving DCG the lead with the opening goal in the 2nd minute.  Hofbauer joined in the fun as the senior scored in back-to-back minutes starting in the 8th.  The rout was on as the Jayettes trailed 7-0 at half.

DCG advances to the Regional Final on Friday to be played at DCG High School against Denison-Schleswig. The Mustangs are still alive to defend their three peat and now have a record of 11-4-1.

Perry ends with a record of 7-8-3 in the first year of Cesar Hernandez.  That was three wins better than 2024.
