
On Wednesday the West Central Valley Wildcats played host to the Perry Bluejays for varsity baseball action. This would be a high scoring match, but West Central Valley would come away with a 10-5 victory over the Bluejays.
West Central Valley would strike first and early, notching in five runs in the bottom of the first after keeping the Bluejays from scoring to begin the game. The momentum would continue into the bottom of the second were the Wildcats would notch in four more runs. Perry would score in the top of the third, bringing the score to 9-2, before West Central Valley would score their final run in the bottom of the fourth. Perry would begin to battle back in the sixth and seventh, but would be contained to only three runs bringing the final score to 10-5.
The now 1-1 Wildcats travel to Glidden Ralston on Thursday for a Wildcat baseball match up. The 0-4 Perry Bluejays return to action on Friday, playing host to the Saydel Eagles.
