After their game was postponed on Tuesday, the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball Team traveled to Waukee Northwest on Wednesday, where they came up short in both games.

The Wolves defeated the Tigers 8-1 in the first game and 3-2 in the second. Game number one saw Waukee Northwest get first runners across in the bottom of the first inning, then ADM tallied one in the top of the third to cut the deficit 4-1. However, the Wolves would score four more runs between the fifth and six innings to win 8-1.

ADM senior pitcher Grant Jansen went five innings, getting two strikeouts and walked three batters, while sophomore Cole Waddingham went one inning and struck out one. Sophomore Ben Plaisance scored the only run of the game for the Tigers.

The second game witnessed Waukee Northwest jump on top again in the second inning 2-0, then picked up another run in the fifth to extend the lead. However, the Tigers did get two runs in the sixth inning, but couldn’t draw closer than that, ultimately falling 3-2.

ADM is now 1-4 on the season as they will be back in Adel taking on Creston for a doubleheader tomorrow, beginning at 5pm.
