Visitation for  Verle Matthew Tiefenthaler, 87, of Carroll, will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, July 11, 2025 at the Carroll American Legion in Carroll.

     A private family graveside service will be held at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Carroll American Legion.

     Verle is survived by his five children and their families: son Jeff Tiefenthaler of Carroll, daughter Janet Brown (Randy) of Omaha, daughter Jill Tiefenthaler of Carroll, son Jay Tiefenthaler (Julie Waring) of Waukee, and daughter Julie Short (Allan) of Carroll; six grandchildren: Trevor Tiefenthaler (fiancée Brittany Klocke), Morgan Collum, Miranda Kuehl (Blake), Hailey Tiefenthaler, Jamie Stuhr (fiancé Connor Smith),  and Tristan Brown; a sister Marlene Heisterkamp (Kenny) of Rapid City, SD; three sisters-in-law: Carol Friedrichsen of Clive, IA, Diane Trout of Fountain Hills, AZ, and Mary Lou Evans (Don) of Rio Rancho, NM; two brothers-in-law: Tom Vogel (Gayle) of Spirit Lake and Steve Vogel (Jeanne) of Idaho; sisters-in-law: Leah Lammers of Omaha and Mary Vogel of Churdan; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
