The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs are on their way to the state championships as Dallas Center-Grimes defeated Mount Vernon 8-0 to win the Class 3A region six championship.

Multiple Mustangs would score in this contest as Colin Mandernach and Mateo Dzolota would score twice against Mount Vernon. Senior Drake Rzewnicki would score the first goal for the Mustangs in the 13 minute. Mandernach would score his first goal with two minutes left in the first half, then with 21 minutes left in the second. Hudson Heidgerken would score the final goal of the first half with 35 seconds left bringing the halftime score to 3-0. Senior Miles Hoover would score to kick off the second half, with Dzolota scoring twice in the 60th and 63rd minute with senior Miguel Renfeld scoring the final goal in the 74th minute bringing the final score to 8-0.

The Mustangs win the regional championship and advance to the state championship with a record of 12-2-3.
