The Rippey Public Library is hosting a unique Author Talk program tomorrow.

According to Library Director Cara McCoy, Steve Dunn will be presenting his book entitled, “Pug, Fireball, and Company: 116 Years of Professional Baseball In Des Moines, Iowa.” McCoy says Dunn is a retired newspaper reporter that has over 40 years of experience covering baseball and is a member of the Society of Baseball Research. She adds that this book is for baseball lovers as it explores Des Moines’ history and its ties to America’s Greatest Pastime. 

The program will take place at 10am tomorrow at the library. Additionally, a limited number of vouchers will also be available for attendees to use for concession stand items at Walt Anderson Field in Rippey for tomorrow’s high school doubleheader between Webster City and Urbandale.
